Name and Headline Customization by Publication

Quick Answer

Customize your Name, Headline, and Bio for each publication and language combination. This lets you tailor your messaging—emphasizing community connections on IranianLawyers.com while keeping a general professional tone on HeritageWeb.com.

Overview

Heritage Web's multi-language content system is more powerful than simple translation. You can create entirely different versions of your profile content for different publications and languages. For example:

Publication

Language

Name

Headline

HeritageWeb.com

English

David Smith

Immigration Attorney | Houston

IranianLawyers.com

English

David Smith

Serving the Iranian Community Since 2010

IranianLawyers.com

Farsi

داود اسمیت

وکیل مهاجرت برای جامعه ایرانی

Each version can have a completely different Headline and Bio while your core credentials remain consistent.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Understand Your Publication Assignments

  1. Go to My Profile and scroll to the Publication Table at the top

  2. Review which publications your listing appears on

  3. Note which languages each publication supports

Step 2: Create Publication-Specific Content

  1. Scroll to the Bio section

  2. Click to add a new bio version

  3. Select the Publication (e.g., IranianLawyers.com)

  4. Select the Language (e.g., English or Farsi)

  5. A new bio block is created for that combination

Step 3: Customize Your Content

For each publication/language combination, you can customize:

Name:

  • Use the same name across all versions, OR

  • Write your name in native script for non-English versions (e.g., داریوش آرمین)

  • Include credentials differently (e.g., "Dr." on one, "David Smith, MD" on another)

Headline:

  • Tailor to the audience (community-focused vs. general)

  • Highlight different specializations

  • Use language-appropriate phrasing

Bio:

  • Emphasize community experience on community publications

  • Adjust tone and cultural references

  • Highlight relevant credentials for that audience

Step 4: Save Your Changes

  1. Review each version for accuracy

  2. Click Publish Draft

  3. After approval, each publication displays its customized version

Important Notes

  • Your HeritageWeb.com/English bio is always required

  • Additional versions are optional but recommended for community publications

  • Content should be consistent in facts but can differ in emphasis and tone

  • The Preview button only shows HeritageWeb.com/English—visit actual publications to see other versions

  • Changes to any version trigger a review

FAQs

Do I need different content for every publication? No. If you don't create a specific version, publications use your default HeritageWeb.com content. Create custom versions only where tailored messaging adds value.

Can I have different Names on different publications? Yes, within reason. You might use "David Smith" on HeritageWeb.com and "داود اسمیت" (the Farsi transliteration) on IranianLawyers.com in Farsi. However, the name should still represent you accurately.

What's the difference between publication customization and language translation? They work together. You might have:

  • HeritageWeb.com / English (general bio)

  • IranianLawyers.com / English (community-focused bio in English)

  • IranianLawyers.com / Farsi (community-focused bio in Farsi)

All three are different content versions.

How do I preview my community publication content? The built-in Preview only shows HeritageWeb.com. To see other versions, visit the actual publication (e.g., IranianLawyers.com) and find your listing.

Should my bio facts be the same across versions? Yes. Your credentials, experience, and qualifications should be consistent. What changes is the emphasis, tone, and cultural framing—not the facts.
