Required Fields: Name and Bio

Quick Answer

Your Profile listing requires two fields before it can be submitted for review: Name and Bio. Both are part of your primary bio block (for HeritageWeb.com in English). Without completing these fields, the "Publish Draft" button won't submit your listing.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access Your Bio Section

  1. Log into your Heritage Web dashboard

  2. Click My Profile in the left navigation

  3. Scroll to the Bio section

  4. Click Bio (1) to expand your primary bio block

Step 2: Enter Your Name

  1. Find the Name field at the top of the bio block

  2. Enter your professional display name

  3. This is how your name appears on your public listing

Examples:

  • Sarah Johnson

  • Dr. David Kim

  • María García, Esq.

Step 3: Enter Your Bio

  1. Find the Bio text area below the Headline field

  2. Write your professional biography (150-300 words recommended)

  3. Include your background, expertise, and who you serve

Step 4: Submit Your Profile

  1. Click Publish Draft at the top of the page

  2. Your listing is submitted for review

  3. Approval typically takes 1-2 business days

Important Notes

  • Headline is optional—only Name and Bio are required

  • Your primary bio is for HeritageWeb.com in English

  • You can add additional bio versions in other languages after completing the required fields

  • Both fields are reviewed for professionalism during approval

FAQs

What if I only complete my Name but not my Bio? Your listing cannot be submitted. Both Name and Bio are required for the primary bio block.

Can I use a business name instead of my personal name? For Profile listings, use your personal professional name. Business names belong on Organization listings.

How long should my Bio be? Aim for 150-300 words. Long enough to share your story, short enough to keep attention.
