Quick Answer

Every Organization listing requires four fields before submission: Organization Name, Overview, Logo, and at least one Industry. The Name and Overview are located in the Name & Overview tab, while Logo and Industries are in the Organization Details tab.

Overview

Heritage Web requires basic business information so clients can understand who you are and what you offer. The Name and Overview fields tell your business story, while the Logo and Industries help clients find and recognize you.

Organization Name

Where to Find It

  1. Go to your Organization listing

  2. Click the Name & Overview tab

  3. The Organization Name field is at the top

What to Enter

Enter your official business name as you want it displayed publicly:

  • Your legal business name (Smith & Associates, LLC)

  • Your DBA or trade name (Houston Family Dental)

  • Your brand name (The Persian Kitchen)

Best Practices

  • Use your official business name consistently

  • Include "Inc.", "LLC", or other designations if part of your registered name—or drop them for cleaner display (both are acceptable)

  • Avoid excessive capitalization or special characters

  • Keep it professional and recognizable

Multi-Language Names

You can display your business name in different languages for different publications:

  • English: "Golden Dragon Restaurant"

  • Chinese: "金龙餐厅"

To add additional language versions: first add the language in the Languages section (Organization Details tab), then return to the Name & Overview tab to create content in that language.

Overview (Business Description)

Where to Find It

  1. Go to your Organization listing

  2. Click the Name & Overview tab

  3. The Overview field is below the Tagline

What to Enter

Write a description that tells potential clients:

  • What your business does

  • Who you serve

  • What makes you unique

  • Your experience or background

Your business logo (min 200×200px)

Important Notes

  • All four required fields must be completed before you can submit your listing

  • Edits after approval go through re-review while your current version stays live

  • No contact information in the Overview—use the dedicated contact fields in the Locations tab instead

  • No HTML or hyperlinks are allowed in the Overview field

  • Business names should match your actual business—misrepresentation causes rejection

FAQs

Can I change my Organization Name after approval? Yes, but the change will go through review. Your current approved name stays visible until the new version is approved.

How long should my Overview be? Aim for 150-400 words. Long enough to inform clients about your business, short enough to hold their attention.

Can I include my phone number or email in the Overview? It's better to use the dedicated contact fields in the Locations tab. Information there displays properly and is easier for clients to use.

What if I operate in multiple languages? First add Languages in the Organization Details tab, then create separate Overview versions for each language in the Name & Overview tab. Each community publication can display the appropriate version.

What's the difference between Tagline and Overview? Tagline is a short phrase (one line) that appears prominently. Overview is your full business description. Only Overview is required, but a good Tagline helps visitors quickly understand what you offer.
