Adding a Video Introduction

Quick Answer

Add a YouTube or Vimeo video to your listing to introduce yourself to potential clients. The video embeds directly on your listing page, allowing visitors to watch without leaving Heritage Web.

Overview

A video introduction helps visitors connect with you before reaching out. Use it to share your background, explain your services, or welcome potential clients. Videos typically perform best when they're 1-3 minutes long, professionally presented, and include a call to action.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Upload Your Video to YouTube or Vimeo

  1. Create your introduction video

  2. Upload it to YouTube or Vimeo

  3. Set the video to Public or Unlisted (Private videos won't embed)

  4. Copy the video URL from your browser or the share button

Accepted URL formats:

  • YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID or https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID

  • Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/VIDEO_ID

Step 2: Add the Video to Your Listing

  1. Log into your Heritage Web dashboard

  2. Click My Profile in the left navigation

  3. Scroll to the Video Introduction section

  4. Click to expand it

  5. Paste your video URL in the Video URL field

  6. A preview should appear if the URL is valid

Step 3: Set Visibility

  1. Use the Visible toggle to control display

  2. Toggle ON to show the video on your public listing

  3. Toggle OFF to hide it temporarily (URL stays saved)

Step 4: Save Your Changes

  1. Click Publish Draft at the top of the page

  2. Changes take effect after approval

Important Notes

  • Only YouTube and Vimeo videos are supported

  • Videos must be Public or Unlisted—Private videos won't work

  • Keep videos 1-3 minutes for best engagement

  • Include a call to action (e.g., "Schedule a consultation today")

  • Avoid copyrighted music, which may cause playback issues

FAQs

Why isn't my video showing? Check that the video is set to Public or Unlisted on YouTube/Vimeo. Private videos cannot be embedded. Also verify the URL format is correct.

Can I use videos from other platforms like Facebook or TikTok? No. Heritage Web only supports YouTube and Vimeo. You can upload your video to one of these platforms and then link it.

What makes a good introduction video? Keep it 1-3 minutes, use good lighting and clear audio, dress professionally, introduce yourself and your services, and end with a call to action. Be authentic—visitors want to get a sense of who you are.

Can I add multiple videos? No. The Video Introduction section supports one video. For a full video library, link to your YouTube channel in the Social Media section.
