Requesting Custom Service Area Changes

Quick Answer

If the standard 75-mile matching radius doesn't fit your business, you can request a custom service area. Contact Heritage Web support with details about your needed coverage area and the reason for the request. Approvals are based on business justification.

Overview

While the 75-mile radius works for most businesses, some have legitimate needs for different coverage. Attorneys licensed statewide, virtual service providers, and regional businesses may need expanded areas. Hyperlocal businesses may need smaller areas. Heritage Web can accommodate these needs through custom service area configurations.

What to Include in Your Request

For Expanded Coverage

Subject: Custom Service Area Request - Statewide Coverage Current Location: Houston, TX Requested Coverage: Entire state of Texas Reason: I hold a Texas state bar license (Bar #12345678) and regularly represent clients across the state. Many of my immigration cases involve clients in El Paso, Austin, Dallas, and the Rio Grande Valley, all beyond 75 miles from Houston. Supporting Info: State bar license number, examples of current clients outside 75-mile radius.

For Virtual Services

Subject: Custom Service Area Request - National Coverage Current Location: Los Angeles, CA Requested Coverage: Nationwide Reason: Our consulting services are delivered 100% virtually via video conference. We have no geographic limitations and currently serve clients in 30+ states. The 75-mile radius artificially limits our reach. Supporting Info: Description of virtual service model.

FAQs

How long does the review take? Most requests are reviewed within 2-3 business days.

Is there a fee for custom service areas? No. Custom service area configuration is free.

Can I request coverage for specific cities rather than a radius? The system works on radius-based matching, but support can discuss options for specific coverage needs.

What if I only want leads from certain areas within my radius? Currently, you receive leads from your entire service area. You can choose not to pursue leads outside your preferred zone.

Can I have different service areas for different Industries? No. Your service area applies to all leads. If you need different coverage for different services, consider separate Organization listings.

Will my custom area affect my listing's visibility on publications? Service area affects lead matching, not publication visibility. Publication assignment is based on Languages and Community Connections.
