Setting Up Multiple Locations

Quick Answer

Add multiple business locations to your Organization listing to expand your reach and serve clients across different areas. Each location gets its own 75-mile service radius for lead matching, displays separately with unique contact information and hours, and increases your visibility. Navigate to the Locations section in your Organization listing, click "Add Location," enter complete address and contact details, then save.

Whether you have multiple offices, branches, or service areas, Heritage Web allows you to list all your locations under one Organization listing. This maximizes your lead generation potential, as each location independently matches with nearby clients while maintaining unified brand presence.

How Multiple Locations Affect Lead Matching

The 75-Mile Radius Rule

Each Location Gets:

  • Independent 75-mile service radius

  • Separate lead matching consideration

  • Equal priority in the system

  • Cumulative coverage area

Example Coverage: If you have offices in:

  • Los Angeles (75-mile radius)

  • San Diego (75-mile radius)

  • San Francisco (75-mile radius)

You're eligible for leads across all of Southern and Northern California.

Lead Distribution

When a Lead Matches Multiple Locations:

  • System selects closest location

  • You receive one notification

  • Lead indicates matching location

  • You decide how to service

Strategic Benefits:

  • Broader geographic coverage

  • More lead opportunities

  • Local presence in multiple markets

  • Flexibility in service delivery

Location Strategy Options

Option 1: Single Listing with Multiple Locations

Best For:

  • Unified brand identity

  • Centralized management

  • Consistent services across locations

  • Shared team resources

Advantages:

  • One listing to manage

  • Consolidated leads dashboard

  • Single approval process

  • Unified sponsor payment

Example: Law firm with 3 offices

Option 2: Separate Listings per Location

Best For:

  • Independently operated locations

  • Different services per location

  • Separate management teams

  • Distinct local branding

Advantages:

  • Location-specific content

  • Independent sponsor status

  • Separate team management

  • Local SEO optimization

Example: Franchise with autonomous locations

Managing Different Types of Locations

Physical Offices

Full-Service Locations:

  • Complete address required

  • Staff present during hours

  • Client meetings available

  • Full service offerings

Setup Tips:

  • List all amenities

  • Include parking information

  • Note accessibility features

  • Specify languages spoken at each

Satellite Offices

Part-Time Locations:

  • Specify limited hours

  • Note "By appointment only" if applicable

  • Include scheduling instructions

  • Clarify services available

Example Setup:

Downtown Satellite Office Hours: Tuesday & Thursday, 10 AM - 3 PM By appointment only Call main office to schedule: (555) 123-4567

Virtual/Service Areas

For Mobile Services:

  • Use base operation address

  • Clarify service area in description

  • Note "We come to you"

  • Explain coverage area

Example Description: "Mobile service covering Los Angeles County. Our team travels to your location. Office address is for correspondence only."

Headquarters vs. Branches

Main Location:

  • Mark as primary in description

  • Include executive team

  • Note if all services available

  • Corporate contact information

Branch Locations:

  • Specify available services

  • Note if referrals to main needed

  • Include branch manager name

  • Local team information

Special Configurations

Multi-State Operations

Setup Approach:

  • Add all locations regardless of state

  • Each maintains 75-mile radius

  • Lead matching works across states

  • Ensure licenses cover all states

License Considerations:

  • Must have valid license per state

  • Update as you expand

  • Some professions (Immigration law) work nationally

International Locations

If Serving Multiple Countries:

  • Add international addresses

  • Specify service capabilities

  • Note language options

  • Include time zones

Pop-Up or Temporary Locations

Not Recommended Because:

  • Requires listing update each time

  • Triggers review process (1-3 days)

  • May confuse regular clients

  • Better to note in description

Alternative: Include in description as "Visit our pop-up locations throughout the city - check website for current schedule"

Customizing Radius per Location

Default Settings

All locations start with 75-mile radius

Requesting Changes

Email [email protected] with:

  • Organization name and ID

  • Specific location needing adjustment

  • Desired radius (can be "No Limit")

  • Business reason for change

Examples of Custom Radius:

  • Downtown office: 25 miles (dense urban area)

  • Rural office: 150 miles (sparse population)

  • Virtual services: No limit

  • Specialty practice: Statewide

Different Radius by Specialty

Advanced Configuration:

  • Immigration law: National reach

  • Personal injury: 50 miles

  • Corporate law: 100 miles

  • Family law: 30 miles

Display and Visibility

How Locations Appear to Visitors

On Your Listing:

  • Each location listed separately

  • Map showing all locations (future feature)

  • Contact details per location

  • Hours for each office

In Search Results:

  • Nearest location shown

  • Distance indicator

  • "Multiple locations" badge

  • Click for all locations

Managing Location Visibility

Temporarily Closing a Location:

  1. Edit the location

  2. Update hours to "Closed"

  3. Add note in description

  4. Don't delete (loses SEO value)

Hiding a Location:

  • Cannot hide individual locations

  • Must remove entirely

  • Consider updating hours instead

FAQs

How many locations can I add? Unlimited. Add as many legitimate business locations as you have.

Can I have different services at different locations? The service list applies to the whole organization, but you can note location-specific services in descriptions.

What if I move locations? Update the address in your listing. This triggers a review (1-3 days) but your listing stays live.

Can each location have different hours? Yes, each location has independent hours of operation settings.

Do I need separate licenses for each state? Yes, for most regulated professions. Some (like Immigration law) allow national practice with one license.

Should I create separate Organizations for each location? Only if they operate independently with different services, branding, or management.

Can I set different radius distances for each location? Yes, contact [email protected] to customize radius per location.

Next Steps

  • List all your active business locations

  • Gather address and contact details for each

  • Determine hours of operation per location

  • Add all locations to your Organization listing

  • Consider radius customization if needed

  • Submit for approval

  • Monitor which locations generate the most leads
