Quick Answer

The Events Schedule section is required for all event listings. Set your start date, end date, times (or mark as all-day), and timezone. Find this section on the Edit Event page—your listing cannot be published without a complete schedule.

Overview

Every event listing needs a defined schedule so visitors know when to attend. Heritage Web supports single-day events, multi-day conferences, timed sessions, and all-day gatherings. The schedule you set determines how your event appears on publications and when it expires from active listings.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Locate the Events Schedule Section

  1. Open your event listing from the Dashboard

  2. Find Events Schedule* (asterisk indicates required) on the Edit Event page

  3. Click to expand the section if collapsed

Step 2: Set the Start Date and Time

  1. Click the first date picker and select your event's start date

  2. If your event has specific hours, enter the start time (e.g., 6:00 PM)

  3. If it's an all-day event, skip to Step 4

Step 3: Set the End Date and Time

  1. Click the second date picker for your end date

  2. For single-day events, this matches your start date

  3. For multi-day events, select the final day

  4. Enter the end time when your event concludes

Step 4: Select the Timezone

  1. Choose the timezone where your event takes place

  2. For virtual events, use the organizer's timezone

  3. Visitors will see times displayed in this timezone

Step 5: Mark as All-Day (Optional)

  1. Check the All day box if your event runs the entire day

  2. Time fields will disappear—only dates remain

  3. Use this for festivals, open houses, or events without specific start/end times

Important Notes

  • Date format displays as MM/DD/YYYY (e.g., 01/30/2026)

  • Time uses 12-hour format with AM/PM (e.g., 09:00 AM)

  • You cannot submit an event without completing the schedule section

  • Events automatically transition through lifecycle phases after the end date

FAQs

What happens after my event date passes? The message button is automatically removed, and the event eventually moves to archived status. Past conversations remain accessible in your inbox.

Can I edit the schedule after publishing? Yes. Navigate to your event listing, update the dates or times, and submit for re-review. Changes trigger a brief review before going live.
