View your donation settings, Stripe connection status, and feature request status from the Donations tab in your Organization listing dashboard. Donation amounts and options are set by Heritage Web in the current version.
Overview
The Donations tab is your central hub for managing everything related to donations on your listing. From here, you can monitor your Stripe connection, view your approval status, and manage whether the Donate button is visible to visitors.
What You'll See on the Donations Tab
Stripe Account Status
Shows whether your Stripe account is connected, pending, or disconnected. Includes a button to connect or disconnect your Stripe account.
Donation Feature Status
Displays your current approval status:
Status | What It Means |
Not Requested | You haven't submitted a donation feature request yet. |
Pending | Your request is waiting for admin review. |
Approved | Donations are active. The Donate button is live on your publications. |
Revoked | Donations have been disabled by an admin or due to a license status change. |
Hide Donations Toggle
When your donation feature is approved, you can temporarily hide the Donate button using the existing listing visibility controls. This does not disconnect your Stripe account or revoke your approval. See "Hiding Donations vs. Disconnecting Stripe" for details.
Donation Settings (Read-Only)
The Donations tab displays the current donation configuration, including preset amounts, minimum and maximum donation amounts, and whether recurring donations are enabled. These settings are managed by Heritage Web and cannot be customized by organizations at this time.
Important Notes
Settings apply across all publications. Donation configuration is per-organization. The same settings and Donate button appear on every publication where your listing is visible.
Customization is coming. Future updates will allow organizations to customize preset donation amounts and other settings from this tab.
Donation activity is tracked through Stripe. Heritage Web sends you email notifications for new donors. For detailed transaction history, reporting, and payout information, log in to your Stripe dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com.
FAQs
Can I change the preset donation amounts?
Not yet. Preset amounts ($25, $50, $100, $250) are set by Heritage Web. Customization is planned for a future update.
Where can I see my donation history and total amounts?
Heritage Web tracks donation counts for your listing's social proof display. For detailed transaction history, payout schedules, and financial reports, use your Stripe dashboard.
Will I get notified when someone donates?
Yes. You'll receive an email the first time each new donor contributes to your organization. Recurring renewals from the same donor do not trigger additional email notifications.
