What Events DON'T Do with Community Connections

Events don't receive referral leads. When someone requests a referral on Heritage Web, they're looking for professionals (Profiles) or businesses (Organizations)—not events.

No Referrals Toggle ✗

In the Publications tab, event listings show "Publish" and "Newsletter" toggles, but not "Referrals" (since referrals don't apply to events).

Step-by-Step: Adding Community Connections to Events

  1. Navigate to your Edit Event page

  2. Expand the "Community Connections" section

  3. Click "Add Community +"

  4. Select communities your event is designed for or relevant to

  5. Repeat for additional communities (up to 10)

  6. Click "Publish Draft" to submit


Important Notes

  • Events DO have Community Connections: Don't skip this section—it's valuable for publication placement

  • No lead matching: This is simply because events don't receive referral leads, not because Community Connections doesn't apply
