Quick Answer
Upload your business logo at minimum 200×200 pixels (400×400 recommended) in JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP format, with a maximum file size of 5MB. Use a square image for best display across all Heritage Web publications. Your logo appears in search results, listing pages, and directory views.
Overview
Your Organization logo is the primary visual identifier for your business on Heritage Web. While not strictly required, a professional logo significantly improves credibility and click-through rates. Unlike Profile listings (which require a personal headshot), Organization listings should display your business logo.

Best Practices
Do:
Use your official business logo
Choose a high-resolution source file
Ensure logo is readable at small sizes (it appears as a thumbnail in search results)
Use PNG format for logos with transparent backgrounds
Keep important elements centered (circular crop)
Update if your branding changes
Don't:
Upload personal photos (use Profile listing for headshots)
Use low-resolution or pixelated images
Include excessive white space around the logo
Upload logos with watermarks
Use competitor logos or copyrighted images without permission
Logo vs. Profile Picture
Listing Type | Image Type | What to Upload |
Profile | Profile Picture | Personal headshot of you |
Organization | Logo | Business logo or brand mark |
Solo practitioners: Your Organization listing should still use a business logo—save your headshot for your Profile listing. Even a simple text-based logo works better than a personal photo on an Organization listing.
Acceptable Logo Types
Business logo
Brand mark or icon
Wordmark/logotype
Professional business graphic
Simplified or square version of your logo
Important Notes
Logo is highly preferred but not strictly required
Your logo is always visible when uploaded (no visibility toggle)
Changes to your logo trigger a re-review of your listing
Your logo displays to all visitors (not behind login wall)
The same logo appears across all publications where your listing is visible
FAQs
What if I don't have a logo? You can submit your listing without one, but we strongly recommend adding a logo. Even a simple text-based logo created with free design tools improves credibility.
Can I use my personal photo as the Organization logo? No. Organization listings should use business logos. Use your Profile listing for personal photos and headshots.
My logo isn't square. What should I do? The system displays logos in a circular frame. For best results, add padding to make your logo square before uploading, or create a square version with your logo centered.
How do I remove or change my logo? Click on your existing logo in the edit page, then upload a new image to replace it. Click Publish Draft to submit changes.
Will my logo appear on all directories? Yes. Your logo appears across all Heritage Web publications where your Organization listing is visible.
