Logo Requirements and Best Practices

Quick Answer

Upload your business logo at minimum 200×200 pixels (400×400 recommended) in JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP format, with a maximum file size of 5MB. Use a square image for best display across all Heritage Web publications.

Overview

Your Organization logo is the primary visual identifier for your business on Heritage Web. It appears in search results, listing pages, and directory views. While not strictly required, a professional logo significantly improves credibility and click-through rates.

  • Keep important elements centered

Don't:

  • Upload personal photos (use Profile listing for that)

If you're a solo practitioner, your Organization listing should still use a business logo—save your headshot for your Profile listing.

Important Notes

  • Logo is highly preferred but not strictly required

  • Changes to your logo trigger a re-review of your listing

  • Your logo displays to all visitors (not behind login wall)

  • The same logo appears across all publications where your listing is visible

FAQs

What if I don't have a logo? You can submit your listing without one, but we strongly recommend adding a logo. Even a simple text-based logo improves credibility.

Can I use my personal photo as the Organization logo? No. Organization listings should use business logos. Use your Profile listing for personal photos.

My logo isn't square. What should I do? The system will crop non-square images. For best results, add padding to make your logo square before uploading, or use design software to create a square version.

How do I remove or change my logo? Click on your existing logo in the edit page, then upload a new image to replace it. Submit changes with Publish Draft.
