Pausing and Unpausing Listings

Quick Answer

You can temporarily hide your listing from public view by pausing it. Paused listings are invisible on all publications and stop receiving new lead matches, but you can reactivate them instantly without going through review again.

Overview

The pause feature lets you temporarily remove your listing from public view while maintaining all your information and settings. This is useful during vacations, when at capacity, or when you need a break from new inquiries. Unlike editing, pausing and unpausing don't require review.

Step-by-Step Instructions

How to Pause a Listing

Step 1: Navigate to Your Listing

  1. Log into your Heritage Web dashboard

  2. Go to the appropriate section (Profile, Organizations, Events, or Jobs)

  3. Find the active listing you want to pause

Step 2: Access Pause Controls

  1. Click on your listing or select "Edit"

  2. Look for the "Status" or "Visibility" section

  3. Find the "Pause Listing" button or toggle

Step 3: Pause the Listing

  1. Click "Pause Listing" or toggle the pause switch

  2. Confirm your action if prompted

  3. Your listing status immediately changes to "Paused"

  4. The listing disappears from all public publications instantly

How to Unpause a Listing

Step 1: Find Your Paused Listing

  1. Log into your dashboard

  2. Navigate to your listings section

  3. Look for listings with "Paused" status

Step 2: Reactivate the Listing

  1. Click on the paused listing

  2. Find the "Unpause" or "Reactivate" button

  3. Click to unpause

Step 3: Confirm Reactivation

  1. Your listing immediately returns to "Active" status

  2. It reappears on all previously assigned publications

  3. Lead matching resumes automatically

  4. No review required — changes are instant

Important Notes

  • Instant effect — pausing and unpausing happen immediately

  • No review needed — unlike edits, status changes don't require approval

  • All data preserved — your listing information remains intact

  • Lead matching stops — you won't receive new matched leads while paused

  • Existing leads remain — previously matched leads stay in your dashboard

FAQs

Q: Will I lose my publication assignments if I pause my listing? A: No. When you unpause, your listing returns to all the same publications it was on before. All assignments are preserved.

Q: Can I pause a Profile listing? A: Yes, but remember that Profile listings cannot be deleted once created. Pausing is the only way to temporarily remove them from view.

Q: Do I still pay sponsor fees for a paused listing? A: Yes. Sponsor subscriptions continue billing even when paused. You maintain your sponsor benefits like team member slots and priority lead access for your other active listings.

Q: How long can I keep a listing paused? A: There's no time limit. You can keep a listing paused indefinitely and reactivate it whenever you're ready.

Q: Will pausing affect my other listings? A: No. Each listing is paused individually. Your other listings remain active and continue receiving leads normally.
