Quick Answer

Workplace Location tells candidates where they'll work for in-person or hybrid positions. You'll need to select Country, State, and enter City—but there's no street address or ZIP code. This section only appears when "In-Person" or "Hybrid" is selected as the Workplace Type.

Overview

The Workplace Location fields appear in the Position Details section, but only when your job requires some in-person work. For fully remote positions, these fields don't appear at all.

Unlike the full address required for business locations, job workplace location is simplified to city level only (Country, State, City). This provides candidates with enough geographic context without publishing your exact office address.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Ensure Workplace Type Is Set

  1. Navigate to Position Details on the Job Details tab.

  2. Confirm you've selected In-Person or Hybrid as your Workplace Type.

  3. The Workplace Location fields should appear below.

Step 2: Select Country

  1. Click the Select Country dropdown.

  2. Choose the country where the work is performed.

  3. The State dropdown will populate based on your selection.

Step 3: Select State

  1. Click the Select State dropdown.

  2. Choose the state or province where the work is performed.

  3. This dropdown only shows options after you've selected a Country.

Step 4: Enter City

  1. Type the city name in the Enter City field.

  2. This is a text field—type the city name directly.

Step 5: Save Your Changes

  1. Review all location information.

  2. Click Publish Draft to submit.

What's Included vs. Not Included

Included

Not Included

✓ Country

✓ State/Province

✗ ZIP/Postal Code

✓ City

✗ Phone Number

✗ Multiple Locations

Job listings capture only city-level location—more specific details like street address aren't collected or displayed.

Important Notes

  • Location is required when In-Person or Hybrid is selected.

  • City-level only—no street address or ZIP code.

  • Single location only—jobs can only have one workplace location (unlike Organizations which can have multiple).

  • Country must be selected first—the State dropdown depends on Country selection.

  • Location is always visible—there's no toggle to hide it.

  • This is different from Headquarters—workplace is where you'll work; headquarters is where the company is based.

FAQs

Why doesn't the State dropdown have any options?

Select a Country first. The State dropdown populates based on your Country selection.

Can I add multiple workplace locations?

No. Job listings support only one workplace location. If the job could be performed in multiple cities, mention that in your Job Description.

Why is there no street address field?

Job listings only need city-level information for candidates to understand the general location. Full addresses aren't necessary or appropriate for job postings.

What if my job is at a client site?

Enter the primary work location. If work is at varying client sites, mention this in your Job Description and provide a representative city.

Why don't I see the Workplace Location fields?

The fields only appear when "In-Person" or "Hybrid" is selected as Workplace Type. If you only selected "Remote," these fields are hidden because no location is needed.

What's the difference between Workplace Location and Headquarters?

Workplace Location (Position Details section) is where the job is performed—where you'll actually work. Headquarters (Hiring Organization section) is where the company is based—which might be in a different city entirely. See "Workplace Location vs. Headquarters Location" for details.

How do I show work is at our headquarters?

Enter the headquarters city in both places—Workplace Location and Hiring Organization Headquarters. They can be the same city when the job is at the main office.
