Overview

Hours of Operation tell potential clients when your business is open. This information displays on your Organization listing and helps clients know when to call, visit, or expect a response. If you have multiple locations, each can have its own schedule.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access Business Locations

  1. Go to your Organization listing edit page

  2. Scroll to the Business Locations section

  3. Find the location you want to set hours for

Step 2: Open Hours Settings

  1. Click on the location to expand it

  2. Find the Hours of Operation section

  3. Click to edit hours

Step 3: Set Hours for Each Day

For each day of the week:

  1. Select Open or Closed

  2. If open, enter Opening Time

  3. Enter Closing Time

  4. Repeat for all seven days

Step 4: Handle Special Schedules

  • 24 Hours: Set opening time to 12:00 AM, closing to 11:59 PM

  • Split Hours: Some systems support breaks (e.g., closed for lunch)

  • Closed Days: Mark as "Closed"

Step 5: Save Your Changes

  1. Review hours for accuracy

  2. Click Publish Draft to save

  3. Hours display after approval

  1. Go to Business Locations

  2. Click on the specific location

  3. Edit that location's hours

  4. Repeat for other locations

  5. Save all changes

Best Practices

Do:

  • Keep hours accurate and up-to-date

  • Update hours for holiday schedules

  • Set clear expectations for response times

  • Include all days, even if closed

Don't:

  • Leave hours blank if you have set hours

  • Forget to update when hours change

  • Set hours you don't actually keep

  • Confuse clients with inconsistent information

Heritage Web doesn't have a separate holiday hours feature. Options:

  • Update regular hours temporarily

  • Note holiday hours in your Overview

  • Return to normal hours after holidays
