Once a lead has been manually reviewed by our team, it goes into our matching system that uses four filters.

  • Filter 1: Specialty or Practice Area + Required License

  • Filter 2: Distance from Office Address

  • Filter 3: Directory

If all filters return a positive match we notify matched professional about the lead.

If no professional indicates interest within 6 hours of the initial notification, we email the lead with the contact information of the most experienced matched professional in our database.

Filter 1 – Specialty or Practice Area Match

Our system first searches for professionals (listings) in our database who have the requested practice area listed in their listing.

In this step we also check for required country and state licenses in the professional's listing. Many professionals in United State such as attorneys or real estate agents are required to have an active state issued license to conduct business in each state. Some practice areas and professions only require a national license or a license issues by any state. We've built those exceptions into our system.

Filter 2 – Distance from Office Address

Professionals can customize the value of a field called "Miles Radius" in their listings. They can set a different Miles Radius for each practice area or specialty. Our system uses this value when matching leads with professionals. By default this radius is set to 45 miles.

Our system calculates the distance between the zip codes of the lead and all the addresses listed in the professional's listing. If at least one of the calculated distance values is less than the "Mile Radius" number set by the professional, our system will consider that a match.

If a mile radius value for a practice area is set to zero, our system doesn’t use this filter. All the other filters will still be used in the matching. For example if a professional has selected 0 miles for “Personal Injury” cases they will receive all Personal Injury leads in their state (valid state license required) who also match the directory.

Filter 3 – Directory

Our system then filters the professionals by the directory where the lead has completed the intake from. For example Polishlawyers.com.

At the bottom of each lead intake form we ask whether the lead is open to qualified professionals from directories in our network other than the specific one she is browsing. For example a lead might be browsing Frenchdoctors.com and is also open to non-French doctors.

If the lead answers Yes to that question we check for professionals in the original directory as well as professionals in our wider network who also have the practice area / specialty in their listing as well as required government issued licenses.
