To keep your Heritage Web account secure and fully functional, we require email verification and offer optional phone verification. This article walks you through both processes and helps you troubleshoot common issues.

1. Email Verification (Required)

  1. Sign Up Verification

    • After registering, check your inbox for a “Verify Your Email” message.

    • Click the verification link to activate your account—you won’t be able to log in until then.

  2. Changing Your Email

    • In Account Settings → Email, enter your new address and click Save.

    • We’ll send a confirmation link to the new email—click it to complete the change.

  3. Resending & Troubleshooting

    • Didn’t receive the email? Check spam/junk folders and add @heritageweb.com to your safe sender's list.

    • Use Resend Verification in Account Settings if the link has expired.

2. Phone Number Verification (Optional)

  1. Adding Your Phone

    • Navigate to Account Settings → Phone Number, enter your number, and click Send Code.

  2. Verifying via SMS

    • You’ll receive a 6‑digit code by text—enter it on the screen and click Verify.

    • Once confirmed, your phone number will appear as “Verified” in your profile.

  3. Benefits of Verification

    • Enable SMS alerts for new messages or referrals.

3. Managing & Updating Your Verifications

  • Updating Email or Phone

    • Any change triggers a new verification step—repeat the above process to confirm.

  • Removing a Phone Number

    • In Account Settings, click Remove next to your verified number.

  • Fallback Login

    • If you lose access to your email or phone, contact support for manual assistance.
